India Inspired Letterpress Wedding Invitation

We just finished printing this amazing India Inspired letterpress wedding invitation that was designed by Kristi and Ravi, both graphic designers.  When we saw this design we instantly fell in love with it and basically had to print it.

The invitation, reception and reply card were inspired by the bright colors and patterns of Indian textiles and are printed on ultra thick 600 gsm cotton rag paper. The belly band (not shown) and informal note is printed on 300 gsm cotton rag Copperplate.   The invitation is letterpress printed with two custom colors and the surrounding pattern is blind hit.  This is one of those invitations that when you receive it you just have to reply “yes” as fast as you can.  You don’t even need to read it or know what the event is, you just know you’re going – its that good!

Letterpress Invitation for a Farm Wedding

We had the honor of printing this sweet farm wedding invitation for Vermont couple, Catherine and Jeff Hannoosh.  The invitation suite was designed by the couple and printed on eco-friendly 100% cotton rag paper.  The silhouettes of the barn and the animals are sunken deep into the soft cotton paper leaving a beautiful impression.

As you can see the wedding reception is taking place at The Skinner Barn in Vermont.  Having a farm wedding is becoming more and more popular and from what I hear, farms that host weddings are starting to have a hard time keeping up with demand!  This is something to keep to keep in mind when planning a wedding, as booking for popular venues goes quickly! Having a farm wedding can also help cut costs because you are allowed to bring in your own catering and music.

The Bone China wedding invitation was inspired by the delicate intricate patterns in vintage fine china. It is printed in 2 colors on luxuriously soft pure cotton rag printmaking paper. This invitation is HOT OFF THE PRESS and will be released at the National Stationery Show. Stay tuned for three other brand new letterpress invitation suites to be released this month.

Subtext’s Beasts of Burden show opened this weekend, and people turned out in numbers to get a look at some of the amazing customs on display. Amy & James’ Rustic Wedding – Custom Poster Invitation

We recently worked with a wonderful couple, Amy and James, to create a custom wedding invitation suite for their rustic wedding. We love how Amy and James customized the Poster design to make their wedding invitation uniquely theirs. Great choice of colors and so perfect for their wedding-in-the-country theme!

2008 National Stationery Show

We just got back from the National Stationery Show and boy are we pooped! We were pleasantly surprised by the attendance and turnout at the show. Here are some pictures of our new booth that we just had made. It was a HUGE booth for us as we took on three booth spaces this year and somehow we managed to fill all of the display shelves with product.

This is just one of the two massive crates that we had shipped to NY from California. Just to give you a reference as to the size of this, the crate measures 11 feet long by 6 feet wide by 6.5 feet tall. Its big, very big!

Here we are unpacking the crates and laying out some of the walls, you can see the center cabinet wrapped in bubble and shrink wrap.

The rest of these are pictures of the finished booth with all of the product, both new and old, delicately placed on the shelves and displays. Pretty cool!!

Our brand new Woodgrain Desk Set won the Best New Product Award at the show in the “Think Green” Desk Accessory category. All letterpress printed items in the desk sets are on the finest 100% pure cotton rag paper using soy-based inks, and their eco-friendly boxes are built from recycled gray board.

A Destination Wedding Invitation – Paisley

We recently worked with a couple to craft wedding invitations for their destination wedding. This couple’s fabulous destination wedding in Los Cabos, Mexico inspired them to choose the Paisley invitation design. We printed their invitation suite in Buttercup, True Red, and Ice Blue creating a bold look that really gave their guests a preview into the South of the Border aura that awaited them.
